The Container Inspection form displays the selected container and chassis ID, the tare and safe weights, and some advised information, such as the ISO code and freight kind.
The Container Inspection form enables you to edit the provided information and enter additional information for a container and chassis during a gate inspection.
Depending on your form configuration and available flex fields, you can enter additional data in the Flex Fields area for the selected container.
If you want to use flex fields, they must first be configured in N4. N4 Mobile supports the unitFlexString01 - unitFlexString15 flex fields. For more information, see Use flex fields in Navis N4: Customization Administrator Guide. Once configured, you can then configure the N4 Mobile forms to display only the flex fields you want.
If you configure flex fields for use in the Gate Inspection program, make sure to include the ApplyInspectionUnitFlexFields (on page 1) business task at the gate stage where the gate inspection data is applied to the gate transaction.
You can also access additional forms to enter detailed inspection information, such as damages, reefer temperatures, oversize dimensions, hazardous placards, bundled equipment numbers, additional seal numbers, and more.
If you add more than ten damages for an inspection, only ten will display after saving. These details are populated in N4 Mobile from the Inspection record in N4 (Operations Gate
Inspections
Inspection record), not from the Unit. If the ApplyInspectionOOG (on page 1) business task is applied to the Gate Transaction type, any oversize dimension details saved in the N4 Mobile Gate Inspection program overwrite the details in the Inspection form.
To record a container inspection:
Specify any optional information for the container, such as the truck license, ISO code, or line operator.
Depending on the screen configuration, you may not see all of the optional fields or the field names may be different.
Optionally, in the ID field in the Chassis area, enter the chassis ID.
This field displays the chassis ID entered in the Gate Inspection program, if specified.
